The Successful Journey Of DFA’s Alumnus, Jimmy Negron

Digital Film Academy’s (DFA) alum, Jimmy Negron was passionate about cinematography since his early childhood. At DFA, he pursued his dream of cinematography. Right after graduation he started working in the film and television industry.

He worked in the camera and electrical department for many movies including James White, Top Three, The Humbling, Trapped, Market Trip, The Other Shoe, Directing Eddie, Big Daddy and a short video - Touching the Art. Many of these were short movies. 

He has also worked for TV series like Upright Citizens Brigade and Hulk Hogan's Micro Championship Wrestling. His experience at Digital Film Academy’s one year digital filmmaking program and then at the advanced digital filmmaking program helped him gain the skills necessary for such projects.

Jimmy Negron continues to grow in his career. He recently directed the Chameleon - Stay Wait (Official Music Video) single from The Monster EP. He also worked as the producer and the director of photography for this video.

Some of Jimmy Negron’s upcoming movies are Back in the Day, Single Black Mama, Dream of a Shadow, My Dead Boyfriend. He is working as first or second assistant camera in these movies.

He has also worked for several TV Movies including For Brothers (yet to release), Aziz Ansari Live in Madison Square Garden etc.
